Fishing that Feeds the Soul

🎣From Trophy Fish to Treasured Moments: Why Summer in Geddes Is More Than Just a Fishing Trip
The summer bite is heating up here on the Missouri River, and it’s been an incredible start to the season. May and June have brought in some great catches and even greater memories—whether you were here for one day or multiple, we’re honored to have shared those moments with you. There’s nothing better than seeing stringers full of fish and faces full of joy.
For our returning guests: welcome back, friends.
For the new faces: we’re so glad you found us.
Lake Francis Case is truly something special. It’s not just about the fish—though we are seeing big walleye and lots of action, especially in the early mornings. It’s about the entire experience:
- That first tug on the line
- The laughter between casts
- The satisfaction of a full cooler
- The peace of watching the water with nothing on your to-do list
When you look back at your fishing photo, we hope it brings a smile every single time. Tag yourself on our social media posts, set a notification—because someday, that memory might show up right when you need it most.
🌿 Nature Works Wonders
Between the guiding, farming, and keeping the lodge in shape, it’s easy to forget just how healing the outdoors can be. Sure, we're moving our bodies—but nature has a way of caring for us even when we’re not thinking about it.
Want to pick from our garden? We’re not just growing veggies—we’re connecting with the earth, breathing in fresh air, and getting a boost from the helpful microbes in the soil.
Laying back and watching the clouds instead of watching your line? That’s not wasting time—it’s your nervous system relaxing. It’s clarity creeping back in.
Bird songs, wildlife sightings, and vegetables fresh off the vine? It’s all part of nature’s prescription: less noise, more joy.
And when you’re laughing with friends by the fire, watching the sun dip over the Missouri River, or telling stories over a big meal—that’s not just a good time. That’s real health. Let nature do its thing: restore you.
🧶Introducing Couple’s Retreats & Creative Time at Authentic Arts
This summer, we’re launching something new: Couple’s Retreat bookings!
Many of our longtime guests come on buddy trips—but now, their spouses and friends want in on the fun too. We’ve heard the question: “What is there to do in Geddes if they don’t want to fish?” We get it. And the answer is: more than you think.
Only three blocks from the lodge is Authentic Arts, offering art and craft workshops designed for creativity, relaxation, and connection. Whether it’s watercolor, clay, fiber art, or just a hands-on way to slow down, we’re building experiences around what guests actually want to try.
👉 Let us know what you're interested in! Fill out the Authentic Arts Interest Survey so we can plan classes that feel just right.
