Guided Deer Hunts
At South Dakota Outfitters Unlimited, we believe in providing a real outdoor experience. All of our hunting properties are managed "habitat first".
We have made the investment to provide for a thriving population. Accordingly, our whitetail deer hunts are done under the rules of fair chase - our deer are free range and free of fences. We limit the number of archery clients looking for an opportunity to harvest a trophy-class whitetail buck, to ensure each guest has a quality experience.
What to Expect
We are in the Prairie Pothole's wetland region which provides ideal habitat for whitetails. The combination of high wetland density, wildlife-friendly agricultural practices, and a late gun season regularly produces world-class whitetails.
South Dakota Outfitters Unlimited is unparalleled for habitat quality and diversity and we have truly been blessed with some incredible genetics in our whitetail deer population. Our habitat includes shelter belts, food plots, and open grasslands. We provide the best stands to hunt during your visit; including Redneck and box blinds, ladder stands, ground blinds, and bale blinds. Our guides are hunters who know the patterns and habits of whitetail deer and will do what it takes to get you that shot of a lifetime.
Deer Licenses in South Dakota
As most deer hunters know, South Dakota produces some great trophy whitetail deer & mule deer. You should apply for your license via the SD Game Fish & Park website. Crossbows are legal with doctor permission on a separate application through SD GFP.
Please allow appropriate time for your license to arrive and bring your tags with you. If you are intending to hunt a buck, apply for either the "any deer" East River or "any deer" statewide tag.

What our Guests are Saying
I recently visited the lodge as part of a pheasant hunting trip with customers. This place is first rate. We had a great time on our trip, and my customers really enjoyed themselves. The lodge itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Meals were provided as part of our package, and the food was very good. Joel & Amanda were awesome hosts and we had a great time. We had 2 different guides (one was Joel himself) and they were both top notch. They put us in places to get opportunities at lots of birds and we had a blast. I would highly recommend you check out this outfit if you are looking for a fun time and a great experience. Next year we are planning on trying to duck/goose hunt also.
Very good trip for pheasant. Got our limit each day. Todd and his dogs were excellent. He was very patient with our shooting skills. The food and lodge were top notch.
